Few salads seem as perfect to me as the Classic Keto Tuna Salad. This dish that has several origin stories is, without a doubt, one of the best allies if you are doing the Keto diet. Not only does it have a good amount of vegetables, few carbohydrates and a good dose of protein, but it is also delicious and very easy to prepare.

Creamy tuna salad served over shredded lettuce accompanied by eggs cooked to perfection and some tomatoes and onions to brighten up the dish.

Ingredients

1/3 can of tuna in brine, solids only

1 boiled egg

2 cups of shredded lettuce (90-100g)

30 g (1 oz) cheddar, edam or similar cheese

1 small tomato (100g)

1/4 small onion (18g)

1.5 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Optional add-ins for the dressing: Dijon mustard, Stevia, basil leaves

Salt and pepper to taste

How to Prepare

Mix all the ingredients for the dressing in a smooth and simple way.

Cut up all the vegetables, put in the tuna, egg and cheese, and that's it, put the dressing on it and serve it as desired.

Tip!

A generous sprinkling of ground cumin, curry or paprika can add interesting flavours to hard-boiled eggs, but never forget the salt and pepper!

If you wish to add a homemade French vinaigrette. Just whisk 2 tablespoons of red or white wine vinegar, a squeeze of lemon, 5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard and salt and pepper to taste. Mix with the tuna for a fresh, moist taste, no mayonnaise!
