This recipe makes use of lemon to transform regular, classic ol’ chicken into something exciting full of exotic flavors. In this article we’re gonna see how to make roasted chicken with lemon & herbs and we’re gonna give you a couple of ideas that go well with this recipe.

Lemon & Herbs Roasted Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 gram pepper flakes
  • 4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ⅕ tsp black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2-3 lemons
  • Olive oil

How to make:

  • Ziploc your chicken thighs together.
  • Add black pepper, salt and red pepper flakes. Then add lemon juice, and garlic both in powder and minced, a little olive oil, and set aside a few lemon slices for baking.
  • Close the bag and shake vigorously. Now let marinate for a few hours. You should shake it every once in a while to let the flavor penetrate deep into the chicken.
  • Place half a lemon slice on top of each thigh and bake for 20 minutes, 30 minutes maximum.

Sweet potato chips

Ingredients:

  • Sweet potato (50 grams tops per person)
  • Oil

How to make:

  • With a potato peeler, peel the sweet potato in super thin slices.
  • Fry with plenty of oil.
  • Add a dash of sea salt and a dash of powdered stevia.


Broccoli Gratin

This is a super fast side dish that goes in the oven, so you can make it simultaneously with the chicken.

Ingredients:

  • Broccoli
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Black pepper

How to make:

  • Cut the broccoli so that only the heads remain and place them on the baking tray.
  • Sprinkle plenty of shredded cheese and parmesan. Do it in layers: A little mozzarella, then parmesan, and so on.
  • Add a little black pepper on top.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes.
